Successful together

Our partners

Our partners include publishers, schools and educational institutions committed to promoting mathematical learning and improving education. Together, we are working to make math a positive and motivating experience for everyone.

Collaboration

Solutions for publishers, schools and educational institutions

  • Publishers

    Textbook integration and software development

Since the 2023/24 school year, MatheArena Junior has been integrated into the VERITAS math textbooks: QR codes in the book lead directly to the matching exercises in the app. We have also developed an authoring tool for VERITAS.

  • Schools

    Partner schools

We support schools in introducing MatheArena: from ideas for using it in class to technical support during integration.

We are looking for partner schools that use MatheArena in class and share their experiences with us. Your feedback feeds into the further development of the apps.

  • Educational institutions

    Licenses for educational institutions

MatheArena offers licenses for schools, continuing education providers and companies. WIFI uses MatheArena with its own licenses in Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Upper Austria.

Research and (further) development

Scientific commitment – for better education

At MatheArena, research is part of product development. Research is led by co-founder Eva-Maria Infanger, PhD candidate at the Linz School of Education at Johannes Kepler University Linz. Together with universities and research institutions, we work on adaptive learning and AI in math education, funded by the FFG and the European Union.

EdTech Talents

A consortium of universities, research institutions and EdTech organizations from seven countries, coordinated by Tallinn University. The goal is knowledge exchange between higher education institutions and EdTech companies. In 2025, MatheArena and the Linz School of Education jointly hosted the EdTech Talents Summit at JKU.

Adaptive learning aid

Together with the Software Competence Center Hagenberg (SCCH), MatheArena further developed an Elo-based rating system. It automatically estimates the difficulty of math exercises and the learners' level of knowledge, after just 15 to 20 attempts.

AI-supported learning

The project investigates how large language models can be used in learning apps like MatheArena so that learners can formulate their input intuitively and accessibly, without fixed syntax and without prior subject knowledge.
